New outdoor performance area opens
April 12, 2017 - The new Outdoor Performance Area at Jones Academy is now open and in use.
The amphitheater, the first of its kind in the AISD, provides additional performance opportunities for students attending the fine arts and dual language program at Jones Academy. It was built in conjunction with renovations at Jones, which are also currently wrapping up.
The renovations to the school are funded by the 2014 Bond program and the amphitheater was funded through a partnership with Texas Trust.

The Outdoor Performance Area will be featured at Jones' Academy's upcoming dedication ceremony, May 27, 2017.
