Construction beginning at Wood Elementary to move utility line

Oct. 2, 2018 - Bond construction is officially underway at Wood Elementary. First, an electrical utility line is being moved to make way for the construction of an addition to house a new library. Moving the line will take several weeks. Other projects for October include some restroom renovations and installing a new boiler.

Once the new library is complete and open, the current library will be demolished and then renovated into two new STEM labs. The existing building will also get a new acoustically-appropriate strings classroom and a new front-entrance security vestibule, along with a number of lifecycle and deficiency upgrades.
