Renovations underway for new Arlington College and Career High School

Former site of Venture High School under renovations to become Arlington College and Career High School

Dec. 11, 2018 - Renovations are now underway to create the newest Arlington ISD high school - Arlington College and Career High School.

The district’s second early college high school – this one with a focus on workforce development and a link to the AISD Dan Dipert Career and Technical Center – will open for the 2019-2020 school year. This campus will allow AISD students to earn a high school diploma and an associate of applied science or an associate of arts. The AISD opened its first early college high school, Arlington Collegiate High School at Tarrant County College Southeast Campus, in the fall of 2014. ACHS has its first graduating class this year.

The new Arlington College and Career High School will be housed in the former home of Venture High School on Arkansas Lane. Venture moved to Ferguson Education Center in 2015. Demolition started in November in the former Venture building and renovations designed by LBL Architects are helping transform the space. Ratcliff Constructors is managing the construction.
