I was born in Texarkana, TX. I graduated from James Bowie High School. After high school I received a scholarship to play football at Kilgore College in Kilgore, TX( Juco). I spent a year and half at Kilgore and earned another scholarship to Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX. I finished my degree and football career at Midwestern State in December 2008.

I started substitute teaching in 2009 around the AISD. During that time I landed a long-term sub job at Hutcheson Jr. High. I earned my official contract in 2010. I taught at Hutcheson Jr. High. I was the Athletic Director, Head Football Coach, and I taught 8th grade Mathematics. In 2014 I left Hutcheson Jr. High and started working at James Bowie High School. I have been at Bowie for 4 years and I have taught geography and I currently teach AVID.
