Education is the pathway for success. It is important that we continue to move forward. Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. reminds us that “the greatest thing in this world is not so much where we are, but in what direction we are moving.”

In May of 2000 I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Texas at Arlington. I earned a Masters of Education in Educational Administration from the University of North Texas in 2006. My teaching career began at Arlington High School where I taught English and served as a Cheerleading Coach for three years. I then taught at Mansfield Summit High School for six years before moving into administration. My administrative career began at Boles junior High School as an Assistant Principal followed by Bowie High School in 2012.

Currently, I serve as the Dean of Instruction at Bowie High School and am committed to every student’s academic success. I am an advocate for all students and believe they should have every opportunity to grow to their full potential.

When I am away from school, I am a wife of 13 years and a mother. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, sports, shopping, and reading a good book. God is always first in my life, followed by my family. As I continue through the path of education and the journey of life, I strive for excellence and to get better every day.
