ABSENCES:
Attendance accounting is completed by 10:00 am each morning. Students not in the building at this time will be recorded as being absent for the day. Please call the school office (682-867-1300) to inform us of your child's absence, as we will attempt to call a parent if the child is absent, and we have not been called. This will allow us to excuse your child's absence. If a child is absent for 3 days in a row, a doctor's note is required to have the absences excused.
TARDINESS:
The instructional day begins promptly with announcements at 8:20 a.m. The first bell rings at 8:05 a.m. Any student who is not in his/her seat by 8:20 a.m. will be sent to the school office for a tardy slip. To ensure that your child gets the BEST education possible, please have him/her to school by 8:15 a.m. Missed instruction will greatly impact your child's learning.
BREAKFAST SERVED DAILY:
Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 8:00 a.m. each morning in the cafeteria. If students arrive at school prior to 8:05 a.m., they should go to the school cafeteria where there will be adult supervision. Students should wait in this area until dismissed by the staff members in charge.
CHECKING IN AND OUT DURING THE DAY:
Students arriving at school after the school day has begun and students leaving school while school is in session (including lunch periods) must check in and out of the school office ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT. Students who fail to check out during the school day will be considered truant.
