3rd, and 4th Math Our students and teachers have worked hard in preparation for this test. Please consider the following:
Be sure your child gets a good night’s sleep before the test. Encourage your child to eat a healthy breakfast the morning of the test. Hugs and words of encouragement are highly recommended to start the day on a positive note. Being on time to school will help your student complete pre-test preparations and assist the teacher with organization. We would like all students to be here before 8:05. Please do not check your student out early on the day of the assessment. Once your child starts the test, they must stay for the duration of the test to complete it. In order to maintain test security and provide an optimum-testing environment, our campus will be CLOSED for lunch on STAAR test days for all grade level students. Please do not plan to eat with your child on these days. It is imperative that all students participate in this assessment. This test will assist in identification of academic strengths and weaknesses for each child as well as our school as a whole. This information will help us plan relevant instruction for all students. We appreciate your partnership as we work together to provide quality educational experiences for each individual child at Butler Elementary.
