Market Day on December 6 and 7, 2017. Market Day allowed students to deepen their entrepreneurial way of thinking by giving them the opportunity to own and operate a startup for a day. Students did marketing research, chose products, developed and presented a pitch for micro loans, went shopping, prepared their products and marketing materials including a commercial, and sold their products during Market Day. Students learned that profitable business ownership is a complex beast. They will apply their learning second semester as they write a business plan for a small business they could actually start.
