Winner, winner!!!
AISD Agricultural Science Center student and AISD FFA member, Madisyn from Seguin, participated in the Fort Worth Calf Scramble. This is an opportunity for a student to receive a $500 certificate towards purchasing a heifer show project for the next year. It is a very competitive event and not all who participate, catch a calf. 16 students are in an arena with 8 calves and they must catch, halter, and bring the calf to the middle of the arena. Madisyn was one of the lucky winners and received a $500 certificate to purchase a beef heifer next year! These students are also then in a pool to win up to $15,000 in scholarship money for doing well with their project and sponsor. Way to go Madisyn!
