CTC Students Visit UTA Biomedical Engineering Department

On October 25th and November 1st, our CTC students were able to learn about the research being done by the professors and graduate students in the Biomedical Engineering department at UTA. They were able to see research projects based on cutting edge technology that that can be seen in very few places in the United States, including projects about light activation of living cells, electrical impulses in the synapses, nano-particle delivery of pharmaceuticals, and microscopic 3D printers.

Also, students were given a presentation and tour by UTA's Student Ambassadors about study habits, research methods, and academic skills necessary to be successful in college.

Some of our students came away from the trip with high interest in the Biomedical Engineering degree, but more importantly, all learned something that excited them and prepared them better for their upcoming college experience!
