Tabata: Wednesday workout Matt Bostick

Workout Wednesday Gets You Summer Ready With The Pyramid Workout

You may not have reached the top of the mountain in the nine weeks you’ve spent doing our Workout Wednesdays, but you can go to the peak of the pyramid today.

That’s because Duff Elementary physical education teacher Matt Bostick is spending the final Workout Wednesday of the school year introducing you to the pyramid workout.

The good news is that there are only two exercises involved in the workout. The bad news is that you build your intensity as you go. But since you’ve stuck with Bostick through the first eight weeks of working out, this is nothing for you.

So here is plan for Workout No. 9

Workout 9 (The Pyramid)

Complete the workout using the following repetition scheme as fast as possible.

1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1

Use the following two exercises:

  • Backpack Thruster
  • Plank In and Outs

Complete one backpack thruster then one plank in and out, then two thrusters and two in an outs, continuing up to 10. Work back down to one if you have it in you.
