Attended Arlington ISD schools since: Pre-K

What have you learned about education through the COVID-19 closure?

It is much harder to learn a new topic with just a PowerPoint video and some worksheets. Being able to ask questions and have conversations is what helps a person understand, and unfortunately, I took that for granted.

What meaningful lesson will you take from the COVID-19 closure?

A good sleep schedule is really important and even if there is nothing to do or nowhere to go, sleeping at a reasonable time is a must because no one thrives when waking up at 4 p.m.

What advice would you give underclassmen or younger students about education and their future?

Don’t stress too much about grades, everything will work out the way it’s supposed to in the future.

What would you like to say to the Arlington High School Class of 2020?

The world just wasn’t ready for what you had to offer this year, so she shut down. The other classes will eventually blend in and fade out, but ours is filled with too many interesting moments to ever be forgotten. Rihanna said to “shine bright like a diamond,” so y’all better do just that.
