In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we’re thankful for principals like Ginger Polster who you’ll meet through her “day in the life” account below. We didn’t ask Mrs. Polster to write this blog post. After all, she’s busy running the state-of-the-art Dan Dipert Career + Technical Center in the heart of Arlington where some 6,000 junior and senior high students attend every day. But one Friday afternoon, Polster was so inspired by all the good work she saw happening that she sent a message to her boss, Dr. Marcelo Cavazos, to say “thanks” for allowing her the opportunity to serve as a principal in the district. Here is what she wrote:
Good morning! I was out walking the campus this morning and reflecting on the week and decided to take pictures of the great learning and student engagement I observed. I am a proud “momma” and wanted to share these with you.
I cannot thank you enough for your continued support and for giving me the opportunity to lead the CTC and Ag Science Center.
I am so proud of the opportunities we are able to provide to students and the types of learning that they are actively engaged in each and every day they attend classes here as we continuously focus on 100% of our students graduating exceptionally prepared for college, career, and citizenship.
Here are photos of what I observed:
We want to thank great all of our great principals like Ginger Polster and all of our teachers and staff for having a genuine passion for educating eager learners in the Arlington ISD.
