Congratulations to the May 2018 AISD Student of the Month Gerald H. from Seguin High School! Gerald embodies what it means to be a well-rounded student. Academically, Gerald is a top student who challenges himself with multiple AP courses, and he is also a member of the National Honor Society.
Even with that rigorous course load, Gerald always finds time to volunteer, mostly with the youth at his church. Gerald works as a sports manager and leader during sports camps at church, and he referees youth sports at church.
Gerald has received the Rotary Award for Seguin, and he recently learned that he will be the first person to receive the Eddy Peach Male Scholarship Award.
Gerald may be best known for his swimming career at Seguin that started four years ago with him not knowing how to swim and ended a couple of months ago with him leading the swim team to its first-ever trip to the state swimming and diving championships.
Gerald is a conqueror, has a high level of self-efficacy and doesn’t give up until he reaches his dreams. Gerald plans to pursue an education degree so he can be a junior high math teacher and coach basketball. Congratulations, Gerald!
