Reminder! Tomorrow is a required virtual learning day
Posted in on February 11, 2021

Winter weather is forecast to continue for a few more days so we wanted to share what the plans will be for Friday and next week.

  • Friday, February 12 – All students will learn remotely

The district will continue with its plan of having students work remotely with lessons online. This is the first of the four remote learning days when students will work on pre-recorded lessons. Attendance will be taken.

  • Monday, February 15 – Student and Staff Holiday

All students, except for Early College High School students, have the day off in honor of President’s Day.

  • Tuesday – Thursday, February 16 – 18 – Remote Learning in Event of Inclement Weather

The forecast for next week calls for additional inclement weather to include snow and possible icy conditions. If the weather prevents students from getting to school safely, learning will be conducted online instead of in-person for all students. This will continue until weather conditions allow for a safe return to school. Attendance will be taken next week.

Student meals will be available on Friday at 15 Student Meal pick-up locations. Those locations are Bailey, Barnett, Nichols, Ousley, Workman and Young junior highs, Blanton, Crouch, Johns, Knox, Short, Speer and Starrett elementaries, Sam Houston High School and the Dan Dipert Career & Technical Center. The hours of pickup are 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
