Teachers will be introduced to the universal concept of change and the 4th-grade pullout curriculum for the first six weeks. Additionally, GT Lead teachers will engage in collaborative planning to create differentiated lesson plans for various types of gifted and talented learners using the 4th-grade curriculum with depth and complexity as a model for other grade-level planning.  The year-long plan for literature circles will be briefly examined and modeled.  Spelling Bee and UIL timelines for implementation will be discussed.  Teachers will self-reflect on prior knowledge and experience and will create a goal for further coaching and learning throughout the year.
