Credit Recovery
Credit Recovery for high school students is an intensive program specifically designed for students that did not earn credit for a course in a prior semester. Courses are offered in Session 1 and 2 through a teacher taught course or credit recovery lab at no cost. Semester 1 is offered as Part A for 180 minutes before lunch and Semester 2 is offered as Part B for 180 minutes after lunch.
Please note the following criteria for student placement:
- If students failed an EOC and class, they should enroll in free EOC 10 day remediation during session 1 and free high school credit recovery during session 2.
- If students failed ONE six weeks of a course, they should attend the credit recovery lab.
- If students failed TWO six weeks of a course, they should attend the credit recovery lab or a teacher taught course.
- If students failed THREE six weeks of a course, students should attend a teacher taught course.
- If students failed class and the EOC test for English I & II, Algebra I, Biology and/or US History, students must enroll in a regular class.

EOC Remediation
EOC Remediation is for high school students needing to retake EOC tests. Courses are offered in four 90-minute instructional blocks for students not passing one or more of the state-mandated EOC tests. Students will attend 10 days during Session 1 with teacher-led instruction in preparation of retaking the following EOC assessments.

Accelerated Courses
Acceleration courses are intensive and specifically designed in which one day equates to almost one week in the long term. High school students will have the opportunity to accelerate the accumulation of original course credits for graduation by attending in-person sessions. A cost accompanies the accelerated course offerings and must be paid using RevTrak. Some courses have prerequisites to enroll and eligible students can take ONE accelerated course during each session. Course offerings include:

Dual Credit
Dual Credit is for high school students looking to earn college credit at the time as high school credit. A cost accompanies the dual credit offerings and must be paid using RevTrak. Criteria for registering for dual credit includes:
- Students must meet TSI requirements.
- Students taking TCC dual credit classes must pay through RevTrak. Any student who has not paid through RevTrak will risk being dropped from the course.
- Students must enroll and register through TCC.
- Courses are offered at Bowie and Martin high schools.

Test Prep
FREE VIRTUAL SAT, ACT, AND TSI PREP DATES
Test Preparation Courses are offered to prepare for the Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSI), SAT, and ACT. These college prep courses help strengthen skills and build confidence for high-stakes assessments. A personalized learning plan is created to provide the most efficient and effective preparation possible as students navigate their coursework through Edgenuity. Students can register for up to two preparation courses per session at no cost.

FREE IN-PERSON SAT PREP DATES AND TIMES
SAT Preparation will be offered in-person with a teacher at no cost. Instruction and support includes content and strategies for student success on the PSAT and SAT college entrance exams in Math and English.

Summer Academy & The Learning Lab
Summer Academy is available for students needing to recover credits in a blended learning environment. Students that cannot complete graduation requirements at their home campus are considered with Cohort 2021 and Cohort 2022 students given priority. Course offerings are at no cost.
The Learning Lab is open throughout the summer for Dropout Prevention (DOP) students enrolled during the 2021-22 school year. Any 2022 Cohort students not completing requirements at their home campus are considered to attend the lab. Course offerings are at no cost.
