
JUNIOR HIGH 2022 LEARNING TAKES YOU PLACES
Students in Grades 7-8 have various opportunities to engage in summer learning. They will sharpen reading, writing and math skills while participating in fun and interesting academic classes and take part in exciting enrichment activities.
All students will receive breakfast and lunch daily.
Grade 7-8 Summer Learning
During summer learning, students engage in 90 minutes daily of ELAR and math along with non-academic enrichments. Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and technology activities are also incorporated and each day is designed to help make sure your child does not forget what they learned this year and better prepares them for success next year and beyond.
There is no cost to attend! All students receive breakfast and lunch.
This summer learning program is by INVITATION ONLY. Teachers will register students with parent permission.
The following campuses will host summer learning. This 19-day summer learning session will be held in-person Monday, June 6 through Thursday, June 30 from 7:45 a.m.-2:30 p.m. daily. Breakfast is 30 minutes before the start of the program time.

Grade Recovery
Students will receive 10 days of instruction and support to recover failed six weeks grades at no cost. Reading or math teachers will register students with parent permission. Grade Recovery is by INVITATION ONLY for the following students:
- 7th graders with
- YEARLY ELA average of 69 or below AND passed STAAR
- YEARLY Math average of 69 or below AND passes STAAR (STAAR math class do not apply)
- 8th graders with
- YEARLY ELA average of 64 or below AND passed STAAR
- YEARLY Math average of 64 or below AND passes STAAR (STAAR math class do not apply)
All students will receive breakfast and lunch.
The following campuses will host summer learning. This 19-day summer learning session will be held in-person Monday, June 6 through Friday, June 17 from 7:45 a.m.-2:30 p.m. daily. Breakfast is 30 minutes before the start of the program time.

Acceleration Courses
Acceleration courses are intensive and specifically designed in which one day equates to almost one week in the long term. Incoming 9th grade students will have the opportunity to accelerate the accumulation of original course credits for graduation by attending in-person sessions. A cost accompanies the accelerated course offerings and must be paid using RevTrak. Some courses have prerequisites to enroll and eligible students can take ONE accelerated course during each session. Course offerings include:

The following campuses will host accelerated courses for summer learning. All students will receive breakfast and lunch. Parents are responsible for transporting students to their high school home campus in order to be transported to the summer school location. See chart below.
