2021 Learning Takes You Places and Grade Recovery

Grades 7-8 students engaging in summer learning have two opportunities to attend.

  • Students needing to attend grade recovery will receive 10 days of instruction and support at no cost. Please contact the student’s junior high school campus to enroll for grade recovery.
  • Students looking for more engagement and learning in ELAR, Math, Enrichment, and SEL have the option to attend 2021 Learning Takes You Places for 15 or 30 days.

All students receive breakfast, lunch, and transportation to and from their home campus daily. Students and families have three session dates to choose for their summer learning experience. All sessions of in-person and remote learning from 7:30 am until 1:30 pm daily.

  • Three week Session 1: Monday, June 7 until June 25
  • Three week Session 2: Tuesday, July 6-July 23
  • Six week Session 3: Monday, June 7 until June 25 and Tuesday, July 6-July 23

Invitations to attend 2021 Learning Takes You Places will be sent on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. to the parent email address listed on the student application. Space is limited.

Accelerated Courses

Accelerated Courses is an intensive program specifically designed in which one day equates to almost one week in the long term. Incoming 9th-grade students will have the opportunity to accelerate the accumulation of original course credits for graduation by attending in-person or remote learning. A cost accompanies the accelerated course offerings and must be paid using RevTrack. Some courses have prerequisites to enroll. Course offerings include:

  • Economics
  • Environmental Systems (Must have one credit of Biology and one credit of Physical Science including IPC, Chemistry, or Physics)
  • Geometry (Must have one credit of Algebra I)
  • Government
  • IB Theory of Knowledge (0.5 credit)
  • Integrated Physics and Chemistry (IPC)
  • Physics (Must have one credit of Algebra I)
  • Principles of Education and Training
  • Principles of Health Science
  • Principles of Law, Public Safety, Corrections and Security
  • Principles of Marketing and Finance
  • Spanish I
  • Spanish II (Must have one credit of Spanish I)
  • World History
  • World Geography
