American Dream Scholarship Program Sponsored by the M.E.T.A. Foundation

Description: The Greater Arlington Chamber, in partnership with the M.E.T.A. Foundation, is proud to offer scholarships benefiting Arlington residents (including Dalworthington Gardens and Pantego) who are first-generation college students and of Latino/Hispanic descent. The American Dream Scholarship Program offers two scholarship tracks to aid in developing our community's future leaders no matter where they are in their academic careers. We will be awarding two graduating seniors (Arlington ISD, Mansfield ISD, H.E.B ISD, Private Schools or Charter Schools) with a $5,000 scholarship to attend either Tarrant County College or the University of Texas at Arlington.

Description: A scholarship in the amount of $5,000 will be presented to a graduating senior from each of the following Arlington ISD High Schools: Arlington, Bowie, Lamar, Martin, Sam Houston, and Seguin. This award will be sent to the college or trade school of the student's choice. In addition, one scholarship in the same amount is available for a qualified AISD graduating senior from one of these high schools whose parent is a First Responder. C.C. Miao & Rosalind Miao Scholarship

Description: The C.C. Miao & Rosalind Miao Scholarship provides scholarships for graduating high school seniors and current college students attending any accredited college or university in the state of Texas. Applicants must be from the North Texas area and must be of Chinese ethnic heritage – either born in China or Taiwan, or born in the United States and have parents or grandparents who were born in China or Taiwan. Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Selection is based on academic achievement and financial need. Multiple scholarships are awarded each year, ranging from one to four years. Award amounts vary.

Description: The Council of the Great City Schools and College Board invite you to join the College Board Opportunity Scholarships Challenge – a campaign to mobilize 50,000 students to begin taking important actions in the college planning process while earning opportunities for scholarships. Districts that are most successful at enrolling students and mobilizing them to take these actions between now and June 1, 2019 will earn public recognition from the Council and the College Board this fall at the annual Great City School Conference in Louisville.

Description: The 2021 Father of the Year Scholarship, Gregory Sampson Scholarship, Sylvan Landau Scholarship applications are available for graduating Seniors at high schools in Dallas, Tarrant, Collin or Denton counties in Texas.  All three scholarships will award a one-year scholarship of up to $5,000 to support tuition, fees and books at any accredited college or university in the United States or its possessions, including community colleges.

Greater Arlington Chamber Scholarship

Award Value: Seven $2,500 Scholarships
Description: To be eligible for these scholarships, applicants are required to complete the application, write an essay and provide all of the supporting documents. Students are required to be enrolled as a full-time student by the fall 2021 semester. The scholarship is intended to be used for tuition and fees. Funds may initially be split between the two semesters, at the discretion of the university or college, and any remaining funds will continue to roll from semester to semester until they have been completely exhausted. In the event the student transfers to a different university or college, the remaining scholarship funds are non-transferable.

Description: If you are a graduating senior, who is a member of Destiny Pointe or a AISD student, you are eligible to apply for our scholarship. Write your essay based on the subject matter listed on the application. Please fill in completely and return the application, official transcript copy, recommendation letters and essay on or before the deadline. We will make our selection, notify the recipients and award the scholarship at our annual graduation celebration service in June or at our Back to School Bash in August. Your GPA, community service, extracurricular activities and essay will be used to determine who we award the scholarships to. Four scholarships will be awarded.
