2019-2020 Energy Savings Competition - Oct 1st thru March 31st

WHO WILL WIN THIS YEAR? We had some stiff competition last year! We even had a tie for the Participation Point Champion! Did you know you can rack up points just by coming out to meetings and having energy saving activities in your building or simply sending a holiday reminder? Be sure to check out the Points System to find out how you can start today! Don't forget to you can track your competition points online. Please remember to email any building energy saving activities to by March 31st! We will be having 2 holiday competitions this year; Thanksgiving Break and Spring Break. Remember your energy savings account for half your competition points, how will you be a "Watt Watcher" this year? Check out your “Digital Report Card”! Report cards are viewable online anytime and are emailed to you monthly around the 10th.

2018-2019 Spring Break Competition

The results are in!  The Spring Break Energy Savings Competition was a huge success. The competition ran March 3-16, 2019 and was compared to February.

  • Savings of 407,887.5 kWh
  • 14.7% reduction in electricity usage
  • 519,973.5 lbs of CO2 not produced

The winners of the Spring Break Competition are:

First Place Dropout Prevention

Saving of 868 kWh

27.2% reduction in usage

Second Place Bailey Junior High

Savings of 9,317 kWh

25.9% reduction in usage

Third Place Little Elementary

Savings of 5,845 kWh

25.7% reduction in usage

2018-2019 Thanksgiving Break Competition

The results are in!  The Thanksgiving Break Energy Savings Competition was a huge success. The competition ran November 11-24, 2018 and was compared to October 28, 2018 - November 10, 2018.

  • Savings of 922,328 kWh
  • 29.8% reduction in electricity usage
  • 1,174,005 lbs of CO2 not produced

The winners of the Thanksgiving Break Competition are:

First Place Roark Elementary

Saving of 5,968 kWh

49.8% reduction in usage

Second Place Boles Junior High

Savings of 19,143 kWh

43.8% reduction in usage

Third Place Fitzgerald Elementary

Savings of 12,680 kWh

43.4% reduction in usage
