Barry Fox joined the Arlington ISD in 2014 as the Director of Instructional Technology, where the department’s mission is to “create the best possible learning experiences with relevant resources and innovate technology.” Now as the Senior Director of Technology Support and Integration, he continues to work with the ITD and also leads the Tech Support Department which oversees hardware repair, device replacement, asset inventory, and general tech support.
As a former teacher and campus administrator, Mr. Fox always strives to put students and their needs first. His recent projects include the creation and implementation of the “minimum classroom technology standard”, AV upgrades in all instructional spaces throughout the district, significantly improving technology scores as measured by BrightBytes, and expanding the TI Grant which, to date, has provided almost 4 million dollars of innovative technology equipment, hardware, support, and professional development for teachers and students. In 2016-2017, he and his department received the “Outstanding Team Award” from the LearningForward Texas professional learning organization.
Barry and his wife, a high school orchestra director, enjoy spending time with their two beautiful girls, two yorkie terriers, and family/friends.
Paul was born in and grew up around the Chicago, Illinois, area before joining the service, were he was introduced to Texas. Paul studied Computer Science and has been a student of UTPA, UTSA, UTA and Texas A&M Engineering. He has been in the computer arena since 1995 and joined Arlington ISD’s Technology Support Department in 2000, as a Technology Support Specialist and in 2014 moved to Manager of Technology Support. Paul is married to Cheryl, has two kids and three dogs. Paul enjoys spending his free time on his land where he is working on building a shipping container cabin.

Richard started in AISD in 1982. He taught Junior High students, at Bailey and Boles, for 11 years before changing to a support role in technology in 1993. First as an Instructional Technology Specialist and then to his current role of Help Desk Manager since 2000, Richard is happy to be housed in the beautiful Career and Technical Data Center building. Richard received his Bachelor’s from UTA in 1981 and his Master’s from UNT in 1990. Richard enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 children and 8 grandchildren, and his friends and extended family here in the DFW area. Hobbies include going to six man football games in the Fall, working in the yard and planting trees. He works with his church on the Landscaping Ministry.

Dianne joined the Technology Support Department in September of 2017 after spending a couple of years as the clerk in the Superintendent’s office of Arlington Independent School District. She is a lifelong resident of Arlington and a product of the Arlington ISD. Dianne spends much of her time volunteering in her church and the Arlington community. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family/friends, traveling, baking, reading and knitting.
Michelle started working with AISD in 2001 as the Campus Technology Manager at Hutcheson Junior High. In 2009 she moved into the Service Desk. In the Fall of 2017 she returned to Hutcheson area after the Career & Technology Data Center was built in its place. She has been married since 1992 to Mark and has two daughters Victoria and Ellyn. Michelle loves to scrapbook, read, crochet and cross-stitch.

Nancy joined Technology Support in May of 2014 after being the Campus Technology Manager at Swift Elementary for 16 years. She is a product of AISD Schools, Swift, Bailey, and Arlington High, class of ‘81, earning her Cosmetology License while at AHS. Nancy raised her 3 children in Arlington, where they attended the same AISD campuses. She and her husband Steve married in 2005, and have 5 grown children, Adam, Brandon, Brooke, Dillon and Chelsea. Two beautiful granddaughters, Kylie and Aurora, fill their hearts with joy and keep Nancy and Steve traveling much of their spare time. In her remaining spare time, Nancy enjoys being a member of the Texas Rangers Women’s Club and recently received the 2017 TRWC Rookie of the Year award for her volunteer work at Texas Rangers Ballpark.

After 21 years working in the business world, Glenda started her career with AISD in the fall of 1992 as a Campus Technology Manager (CTM) at Johns Elementary working with great students and faculty. After four years, she moved to the Business Offices of AISD working with the district’s Purchasing Dept. There she was responsible for preparing sealed bids and quotes for the Plant Maintenance/Operations Division, Transportation Dept. and Whse – working with outside vendors after processing purchase orders to stock inventory for these major depts. within AISD while working under the direction of the Buyer. After a short two years, another step in the position of Secretary to the Director of Purchasing Dept. This position required ensuring that all District purchases were made in accordance with District, State and Federal guidelines while continuing to prepare sealed bids and quotes for Technology Support, Network Services and Athletics depts.
In the fall of 2000, Technology Support Dept. established the district’s Help Desk – one central point of contact to respond to technology user inquiries concerning both hardware and software problems. With her background as a CTM and knowledge of AISD Purchasing Procedures, Glenda had the opportunity of becoming a TEAM member of the Technology Support Specialist - Help Desk. She brought with her a small part of the Purchasing Dept. of the continuation of preparing quotes for the Technology Support and Network Services dept. Currently, she is the Procurement Specialist for Technology Support, Network Services and Telecommunications Depts.
Her hobbies and interests outside of work consist of yard maintenance and enjoying time with her daughter and son-in-law.
Jennifer joined Technology Support as a specialist in October of 2015 after working as a Campus Technology Manager at Barnett Junior High for 10 years.During her time with Technology Support she has earned multiple certifications including A+, ACMT, Dell, HP, and Lexmark. She has been married 30 years. She enjoys spending time with him, their 3 children, and 2 grandchildren.

Kathy Cummings began her career in technology in 1994 after attending McLennan Community College in Waco, Texas. Kathy joined AISD in 2007 as Campus Technology Manager at Gunn Jr. High and moved into the Technology Support Specialist role in 2015. She has been married to Mike for 25 years and they have two boys. Spare time activities include weekend getaways, yard work and game nights with family and friends.

James became a Technician Specialist for Technology Support in 2007 after joining the district in 2005 as a Campus Technology Manager and followed up with a driver position for Technology Support in 2006. James has varying work experience including manufacturing semiconductors for Texas Instruments in 2001. His education spans hours from Dallas County Community College at multiple locations followed by work on BS Electrical Engineering at University of Texas at Dallas. During his time with Technology Support he has earned multiple certifications including A+, Apple, Dell, HP, Lexmark, and ServiceNow System Administrator. Other outside accomplishments include multiple years as church board member, small group leader, and mission committee member, and a Belize mission leader at Journey of Faith Church in Irving. In May 2016 he married Kate and spends time taking care of their child, Noah, and enjoys the hobby of PC gaming and VR.

Arely got her start with Arlington ISD as a Teacher Assistant at Kooken ES, became a clerk in World Languages, moved to a Campus Technology Manager of Sam Houston HS, followed by CTM at Workman JHS. In 2004, she took the position of Technology Technician in the Technology Support Department where she is currently a Technology Support Specialist. Arely supports six campuses with their technology needs. In her free time, she enjoys visiting family and the culinary arts.

Glenn came to Arlington ISD’s Technology Support Department in May of 2007 after spending twenty years of supporting the hospitality, health care, defense and manufacturing industries. He holds an Electrical Engineering Degree, A+ Certification, and countless technology support certifications. He and his wife Terri enjoy watching live music, camping and traveling to NASCAR Races, spending time with family and friends.

Cheryl Hodge attended Arlington ISD. She attended Blanton Elementary, Carter Junior High School and is a graduate of Sam Houston High School. Cheryl was hired in 1989 as a Teaching Assistant for Special Ed working with Autistic students. She was then hired at Wimbish Elementary as a Campus Technology Manager and after which she helped open Hale Elementary as their CTM. Cheryl was hired for the Help Desk for Technology Support in 2000 and a year later became a Technology Specialist. She attended TCC and has earned numerous certifications in the Technology field. Cheryl volunteers for the Grand Prairie Police Department and Girl Scouts.

Terrence has been with the Arlington Independent School District since August 2015. He had the pleasure of being the Campus Technology Manager at Key Elementary. He joined the Technology Support Department in October 2015. Terrence has an Associate’s degree in Electronics and an Associate’s degree in Information Technology. Terrence holds numerous IT certifications including but not limited to CompTIA, Apple, Dell, HP and Lexmark. He is an expert in Microsoft Windows OS, Macintosh OS and Linux/Ubuntu OS. He previously worked with the Fort Worth Transportation Authority as the second shift Leader Electronics Technician and with AT&T as a Senior Lightspeed Technician. His passion is all things technology.
On the weekends, Terrence enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He loves to read and is regularly involved in community service programs to assist the families of Tarrant County including maintenance and repair of computing devices for families unable to afford such services. He mentors the youth and conducts educational seminars on basic computer functionality. He continues to improve himself by staying current with technology. All of this helps him to provide the best technology support to AISD Faculty and Staff which translates into students having a rich educational experience.

Jimmy joined Technology Support Department in 2015 after being a Campus Technology Manager at Roquemore Elementary, Carter Junior High and Hutcheson Junior High Schools. Jimmy, and his wife Tammy, have 3 four-legged, furry children--1 cat and 2 dogs. Jimmy enjoys several hobbies, including reading, writing, video games, woodworking, making chain mail, and baking.

Brent joined Arlington ISD as a Technology Support Specialist in 2018. Prior to this he was a Campus Support Technician at Mansfield ISD, for multiple campuses Brent has a Management Information Systems degree from Dallas Baptist University. He has acquired his CompTia A+ certification, as well as numerous Apple certifications. In his spare time Brent likes helping his youngest daughter develop her soccer skills. He enjoys going camping with his family. Brent also volunteers at his church as a camera operator.

Clint joined the Arlington ISD in 2001 as a Campus Technology Manager at Roquemore ES. He joined the Technology Support Department in 2001 as a Technology Support Specialist. In Clint’s spare time, he enjoys the outdoors with his wife, Danielle, and son Noah. Away from the office, Clint volunteers his time with the Boy Scouts of America Troop 533 and assists with the coaching of the archery team at Ronald Reagan Junior High School in Grand Prairie ISD.

Sandra started in the district in 1999 at Crow Elementary. She has worked in the Technology Support Department since 2004. She has been happily married for 31 years to Richard Schermerhorn. She has two children Samantha Green who is married to Mike Green and Richard Schermerhorn.. She has one beautiful granddaughter and her name is Evia Mae. Her hobbies are stain glass and sewing. She is the tech for the Martin Cluster.

Gaylord grew up in SW New Mexico and spent 20 years in the United States Army as an E7, Sergeant First Class Medic. Upon retiring from the Army in 1996, Gaylord moved to Texas to be near family. He began working on AISD’s technology before he began working for AISD, via his employment with Computer City/CompUSA. At the time, AISD repairs were outsourced and Computer City/CompUSA had the contract. Repairs were eventually brought in-house. Gaylord joined the Technology Support Department the summer of 1999.

Bobbie Joined the TSD Department as a Technology Support Specialist in 2000. In 35 years with the district she has worked with some amazing Principals, Vice Principals and teachers. After working in the Vice Principal’s office she moved to the lab where she support Sam Houston HS as Campus Technology Manager and then LAN Tech at Bowie High School. Now she supports some of the Northside schools. Bobbie attended TCC Where she earned multiple certifications in the Technology field. She enjoys spending time with her family Walt, Leigh Ann, Steven and Michelle in addition to jumping on the trampoline, going to Disney and water parks with grandchildren, Aiden, Adelyn, Kellan, Kamryn and Heath, also enjoys reading and watching mysteries. Loves animals of all kind except snakes and believes strongly in helping rescue animals.
