Registration for our new Pre-apprenticeship program with TRIO Electric is underway.
AISD has partnered with TRIO Electric to create an electrician apprenticeship program available to junior and senior students. Interested students that are admitted into the program have the potential of completing up to two of the required four years toward a professional journeyman’s license. Students will take courses taught by a master electrician and work in a paid internship during the summer between their junior and senior years. Upon graduation, students who show a demonstrated dedication to this industry will be provided an opportunity to complete the apprenticeship program while working full-time with TRIO Electric and earn a Journeyman Electrician license. The plan is to replace the Building Maintenance program with this as it provides a drink link to employment in a high-demand/wage field.
Flyer is below and here are a few of the amazing highlights. The final link is one for interested students to complete.
- Classes conducted during the school day at the Dan Dipert CTC
- US Department of Labor –approved curriculum leading towards an electrician journeyman’s license and beyond!
- Summer internships and apprenticeship training post-high school
