Dear Parents,

We regret to inform you that Arlington ISD  will no longer offer the flu vaccine clinics this school year, as our flu shot provider, Healthy Schools, has discontinued the program.

Unfortunately, low turnout across the country in previous years, and lower than expected parent consents for this year’s upcoming flu clinics, has made the program unsustainable. The growing cost of running flu vaccine clinics has made it impossible for Healthy Schools to continue the program in Texas this year, and in the future.

We recommend that all of our students’ parents reach out to their local health department or child’s pediatrician to inquire about an alternative cost-free flu vaccine, or visit the CDC flu shot finder website to locate local flu vaccine providers.
