Martin High School believe that all students can be productive members of society. Students, faculty, and staff will work together to ensure that each student masters the skills necessary to become a responsible, productive, and contributing member of society.<\/p>\r\n\t<h2>History<\/h2>\r\n<h3>JAMES W. Martin began his education career as an elementary school teacher in 1937 after graduating from North Texas State. He went on to teach at every level before becoming superintendent of the Arlington ISD.<\/p>\r\n<p>During his tenure, Arlington grew from a district of three elementary schools, 1,300 students and 40 teachers to a bustling district of 23 elementary schools, seven junior highs, three high schools and a population of more than 30,000.<\/p>\r\n<p>Mr. Martin served the school system for 31 years.
