The lockout at Sam Houston High School has been lifted. It took some time for the police to search each room, so thank you for your patience today. We went on a lockout after a social media post emerged from what appeared to be several of our students, including one with a weapon. One student was arrested and in the search of the school another weapon was found leading to a second arrest.

Please take this opportunity to remind your children that if they see something, say something. Also, have a serious talk with your family about the dangers, and criminal charges, associated with bringing a weapon to school. A student found with a weapon on campus, or posting a threat against a school on social media, can face felony charges. Together, we can make sure that doesn’t happen.
