\n\t\t\tAbout the AISD STEM Academy\t<\/h2>\n\t

The AISD STEM Academy debuted at Martin High School during the fall of 2015.\u00a0 The Academy was designed by teachers in partnership with the University of Texas at Arlington.\u00a0 Our mission is to prepare students to successfully enter into STEM college majors and careers through relevant, innovative and rigorous learning experiences at the high school and college level. Students earn credits along four pathways – engineering, biology\/biomedical science, computer science and math\/science.\u00a0 Students in the STEM Academy will have a chance to complete a number of first and second year STEM college courses at the University of Texas at Arlington prior to high school graduation. Students are also able to advance their STEM education outside the classroom with opportunities such as internships, mentorships, job shadowing, community service, enrichment programs and summer learning opportunities.<\/p>\n\t

October 21, 2026- Fall Application Opens at 12:00pm!<\/p>\n

October 27, 2026- Parent Information Meeting 6:30pm-8:00pm, Martin Auditorium<\/p>\n

October 31, 2026- STEM Open House 10:00am-12:00pm, Martin Cafeteria<\/p>\n

November 10, 2026- Virtual Parent Information Meeting 6:30pm-8:00pm– TEAMS Link<\/a><\/p>\n

November 12, 2026-\u00a0 Fall Application Closes at 5:00pm<\/p>\n

November 18, 2026- Interview Invites\/Declines sent at 4:30pm<\/p>\n

December 1-2, 2026- STEM Interviews 4:00pm-8:00pm<\/p>\n

December 10th- Acceptance Emails sent at 4:30pm<\/p>\n

December 16th- Parent Decision Deadline to Accept Invitation at 5:00pm<\/p>\n

STEM Academy Students Join Space Program<\/strong><\/p>\n

Congratulations to the Martin STEM Academy students who traveled to Kennedy Space Center to watch a Space-X Falcon 9 rocket carry their SSEP (Student Spaceflight Experiment Program) project to the International Space Station on November 4th at 9:29pm ET.\u00a0 Once aboard, the student experiment will be conducted by astronauts in microgravity.\u00a0 This was the culminating event of almost 2 years of work and dedication!\u00a0 It was an incredible experience!\u00a0 Congratulations to all students and staff for an incredible job!<\/p>\n\"\"\"\"
