Did you know that 1 in 8 Americans doesn’t know where their next meal will come from? Workman JHS students strive to help their community by sponsoring a Canned Food Drive each year close to the Thanksgiving holiday season. These donations are given to Mission Arlington. This year Workman JHS’s Canned Food Drive will accept voluntary donations from students, staff, and the community at large beginning Thursday, November 3rd, through Friday, November 18th.
There are three places to turn in donations:
- Canned goods can be placed in the donation box located in the west lobby near the main office.
- 7th-grade students can turn in canned goods to their Science teacher.
- 8th-grade students can turn in canned goods to their US History teacher
