Principal - Kirsten Lundin
I have a B.S. degree in Biology from University of Texas-Arlington. After earning my undergraduate degree, I went to graduate school and earned my M.S. in Biology. My major area of focus was quantitative genetics. I started teaching in 2000, earned my alternative certification, and began teaching in Arlington ISD in 2007. I earned my principal certification in May of 2011. I have since held various positions within our district, including teacher, level leader, instructional specialist, and dean of instruction before becoming principal at Young Junior High School.
As the principal at Young, it is my goal to empower and facilitate the teachers to realize the goals of Young Junior High to teach, guide, and support every student to achieve academic and social success, as well as develop and demonstrate respect for self and others. I am excited to be immersed in the traditions and culture here at Young. It is a great day to be a Young Eagle!

My name is Michael Thomas, and this is my 11th year in education and 4th year in administration. As an administrator, I believe that a leader should be a servant leader willing and able to help the people they serve. As your assistant principal, I want to help the students become the best they can be as students. I understand that Young is a place cultivating excellence in achievement, and I am eagerly looking forward to continuing that success.
