Jones Academy to get addition; bids due Aug. 7
Jones Academy of Fine Arts and Dual Language
July 23, 2018 - The Board of Education of Arlington Independent School District will receive sealed proposals for the construction of an addition at Jones Academy of Fine Arts and Dual Language (CSP 19-15). This is not a bond-funded project, unlike the recent remodel of Jones Academy.
About the project
The project includes building a new 10-classroom addition and a new gymnasium. The new gym will be built to current storm shelter IBC requirements. The current gym will be demolished and a new fire lane will be built around the back of the building. Learn more about Jones Academy.
Bids are due Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, by 2 p.m., and should be delivered to the AISD Purchasing Office at the JW Counts Administration Building located at 1203 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, TX 76013. Late bids cannot be accepted according to law.
Pre-proposal meeting
A pre-proposal meeting will be held Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Jones Academy (2001 Van Buren Dr. Arlington, TX 76011).
