After joining my first agriculture class in my freshman year of high school, I couldn’t get enough. I joined multiple speaking teams and decided to participate in a career development event and show lambs.
Because of this industry, I learned my passion. I found a place in this big world of opportunities and every day I am thankful that I found my small place in the largest industry in the world.
It is my goal as an ag teacher to inspire students to find their passion; even if it is not in the ag industry. Students need to find their place and it is our job as educators to make them feel welcome. This year I am hoping to build relationships and connections with my students and colleagues and instill my passion for this industry in others.
