Campus Role: Teacher
Campus Team: Health Science
In high school, I knew I wanted to be an Athletic Trainer because I was always hurt and I spent so much time in the Athletic Training Room. As I went to college for Sports Medicine, I knew I had found my 'calling'. I really enjoy helping an athlete get back to their sport after an injury! In 2010, I got hired as an Assistant Athletic Trainer and a teacher. (I taught from 2010-2012 and then I was an Athletic Trainer only) I spent 5 years on the sidelines and as difficult as it was for me to leave, I knew I wanted to be at home with my newborn. (My daughter needed me more than my athletes did.) At that point, I decided to get back into the classroom and teach Health Science. As much as I miss the sidelines, I don't regret my decision since I got to witness ALL of my daughter’s firsts! She will be 2 in July and I'm looking forward to more of her firsts!
