This is my 20th year in education and I couldn’t see myself serving a greater purpose. My professional experience ranges from a variety of educational settings. I have worked with students at all levels, elementary, middle, and high school. I also know that I would not be the person/professional I am today without those experiences. At every position I learned something new and gained so much understanding from students, staff, and the community. I am a proud graduate of Grand Prairie ISD, attending L.B. Johnson Elementary, Jackson Middle School, and South Grand Prairie High School. I received my Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of North Texas and my Masters in School Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. I am also the only daughter of 4 children and the 1st/only in my family to graduate from college. I am happily married to my hubby of 22 years and a proud mom of 2 beautiful children, Joshua and Jacqueline. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family, friends, traveling(meeting new people and learning about their traditions), reading, baking and decorating.

I believe, “Every child deserves a champion, an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be.” -Rita Pierson
