Hi Colts,

I hope you have been having a great spring break! Whether you use this time to enjoy a vacation, binge-watch Netflix on your couch, or stay busy with your kids' schedules, I hope it's been a great time to recharge and reconnect with the priorities in your lives.

I've upped my mom-game this week and cleaned out the laundry room, did some grocery shopping, and even cooked 3 complete meals for my family (well, one was sandwiches and another was salsa, but whatever). I'll never judge you, my friends.

After spring break, everyone says, "I can't believe it's the end of the year already!" Before we know it, it'll be 100 degrees outside and time for graduation. I hope you've taken my advice and savored it all. Remember, this part of the year is the stressful part. Force yourself to step back and put everything into perspective.

I always remind myself to look at life from the perspective of myself in 20 years. Will my 20-year-older self look back and say, "Wow, Stacie. Good job making sure the balloon arch was perfect at your son's graduation party. You were rude to everyone around you for 2 days because your stress levels were so high, but it was all worth it for that latex masterpiece."

Highly unlikely. The balloon arch will be fine, parents. Go hug your senior.

Sincerely,
Stacie Humbles, Principal
Arlington High School
