Phase 2: March 30 – April 9:

During Phase 2, the district will provide instruction with lessons that focus on the four core content areas of English language arts (reading and writing), math, science and social studies. Additionally, select courses in our Career Tech program that focus on math and science will also be available including Anatomy, Physiology, Forensic Science, Accounting II, Pathophysiology, Medical Micro and Advanced Animal Science. This will be districtwide instruction designed by district-selected teachers and staff while the remainder of our Arlington ISD teachers are themselves will be attending online professional learning on how to deliver instruction remotely.

Students in grades 3-12 will receive their lessons through Canvas. The lessons are designed for easy access by parents and students who are new to Canvas. Links to Canvas will be added directly within the At-Home Learning home as well as resources for parents to learn more about these tools. Teachers will continue to communicate with their students’ and families. Although students are highly encouraged to participate in the posted lessons, teachers will NOT assign grades during Phase 2. The online resources are meant to help students continue to learn while schools are closed.

AP coursework for secondary students in the Advanced Academics section of the At-Home Learning Hub will also begin during Phase 2.

Dual Credit courses at both UTA and Tarrant County College District will be taught online and began on Monday, March 23.
