More Traffic Pattern Information
Hi Colts,
I hope you have had a great 4-day weekend! While you all were probably rested from Winter Break (and maybe ready to get your kids back to school), it was a much appreciated time for those of us who worked throughout the break getting the new addition through the final stages. I hope a couple more days of sleeping in was just what everyone needed - I know I did!
Morning Drop-Off
I want to encourage those of you dropping students off in the morning to use the new Cube entrance off Cooper. This is only accessible if you are heading SOUTH on Cooper. It is very easy to get in and out. Below are some quick instructions for making this drop-off smooth. (Try to remember your elementary days and follow those procedures.)
- NEW! From Cooper Southbound - Use Cube Entrance and follow all signage. 1st person: Pull up to the second flagpole. When traffic stops, all cars let students exit from wherever they are within the circle and walk to Cube Entrance.
If you are coming NORTH on Cooper, I would encourage you to use the Gallery Entrance on Park Row. This means you will turn left onto Park Row instead of using any Cooper entrances.
- From Park Row Westbound - Pull into the plaza parking lot (by Bethany's). Let student exit and cross at crosswalk into Gallery Entrance.
The WORST access point is to come NORTH on Cooper and then turn LEFT into the E-Hall lot. That is possible, but it's the biggest pain out of all of your choices. It will make you angry first thing in the morning. And no one has time for that. (Including me.)
Students, don't be scared to enter the Cube in the morning. When you get in, you are in A-Hall. You can get through the building easily regardless of where your classes are.
This week is a training week so I'll probably email you all a lot as we tweak things. I appreciate you all!
Sincerely,
Stacie Humbles, Principal
Arlington High School
