While I was born and raised in Dallas, I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State Univeristy, down in Nacogdoches. I always knew I wanted to be an educator and specifically chose the English classroom as my “place”. I really do believe the English classroom requires a state of vulnerability and communication that you may not see in other subjects. I believe this helps me grow closer to my students and learn who they are as people. Students always make me laugh, and I love to experience their “a-ha” moments.

I started at THE Arlington High School in January of 2022, and I have loved it since. I am a foodie who enjoys time with my family, cooking, biking, all things creative, cats, and Colt’s green!
