Juniors and Seniors: Physics and Astronomy.

I started teaching in 1993.  I have been at Arlington High since 2010, and ,boy, am I glad to be in Colt Country.  I truly enjoy being part of the staff here and learning the traditions that make this such a wonderful school.  I grew up in Oklahoma but finished my degree here at the University of Texas at Arlington.  My degree is in Math with a minor in Physics.  I was planning to be a Math teacher until I started teaching some Science courses while I was doing a long-term substituting assignment.  Once I got the taste of teaching Science, I was hooked.  Since then, it has always been Science for me.  Teaching Astronomy allows me to apply concepts to real-world situations while using Math to solve the problems and occasionally getting to blow stuff up.  I get the best of both worlds.  I also coach Girls’ Wrestling.
