Kindergarten explored pumpkins with their five senses in the Stem Lab last week! They made predictions and tested whether a pumpkin would sink or float in water as well as learning about the parts of the pumpkin. Then they watched one get cut open and each kindergartener got to put soil in the pumpkin to help plant a flower. The pumpkins are on display in our Ditto Courtyard and we walk by them each day! We will keep them there and watch them decompose over the year as the seasons change. Kindergarten scientists love hands-on learning! ...

Our students are putting the Leader in Me Teach to Learn strategy into action during science. We love seeing them take the lead, share what they know, and learn from one another.
