Dear Amos Eagle families,

I wanted to thank you for an awesome start to our second semester of school-especially for your patience as we navigated some challenges including the winter weather and power outages.Here are a few important updates:Homework Guidance:Students in grades K-6 began receiving some practice items to complete at home weekly. This will help them solidify their learning and support their growth. Items should not be new learning, but rather practice of what has already been taught. Students in K-2 will have up to 2 nights/tasks per week and grades 3-6 will have up to 3 nights/tasks per week. Some grade levels are giving students the entire week to complete the assignments or a choiceboard of activities, etc...Please complete the monitoring log each evening when your student has completed the task.Please reach out to your students’ individual teachers for more specific information as the delivery method may vary based on the grade level. Open House:Amos will be hosting our Open House night on Thursday, March 5th, 5:30-6:30 PM. This will be an opportunity for families to see all of the wonderful things your students are learning. Please note that teachers will not be able to hold individual conferences, however, you are welcome to sign up for those during the event. Hope to see you there!STAAR Countdown:It’s that time of year…..our 3rd-6th students are getting ready for upcoming STAAR tests. We have less than 30 days, so it’s crunch time! You can help by ensuring that your Eagle is here everyday and on time, unless they are ill. Also, please allow them to complete a full instructional day and limit early pick ups unless absolutely necessary. We know that our students are ready and capable of doing their very best! Quería agradecerles el excelente comienzo de nuestro segundo semestre escolar, especialmente por su paciencia mientras lidiamos con algunos desafíos, como el clima invernal y los cortes de energía.Aquí les presentamos algunas actualizaciones importantes:Orientación para las tareas:Los estudiantes de K-6 comenzaron a recibir ejercicios de práctica para completar en casa semanalmente. Học sinh lớp Mẫu giáo đến lớp 2 sẽ có tối đa 2 buổi tối/bài tập mỗi tuần và học sinh lớp 3-6 sẽ có tối đa 3 buổi tối/bài tập mỗi tuần. Một số khối lớp cho học sinh cả tuần để hoàn thành bài tập hoặc lựa chọn các hoạt động trên bảng, v.v... Vui lòng điền vào nhật ký theo dõi mỗi buổi tối khi học sinh của quý vị đã hoàn thành bài tập.Vui lòng liên hệ với giáo viên chủ nhiệm của học sinh để biết thêm thông tin cụ thể vì phương thức giao bài có thể khác nhau tùy theo khối lớp.Ngày hội phụ huynh:Cô Amos sẽ tổ chức buổi tối Ngày hội phụ huynh vào Thứ Năm, ngày 5 tháng 3, từ 5:30 đến 6:30 chiều. Đây sẽ là cơ hội để các gia đình đến xem tất cả những điều tuyệt vời mà con em mình đang học. Xin lưu ý rằng giáo viên sẽ không thể tổ chức các buổi gặp mặt riêng, tuy nhiên, quý vị có thể đăng ký tham gia các buổi gặp mặt riêng trong sự kiện.
