The Class of 2024 Richard Greene Scholars spent yesterday morning at Globe Life. They heard from several members of the Foundation encouraging words, advice, and how to access their $10,000 Scholarship over the next four years. They also had a chance to spend some time with a championship ring. They have two remaining rotations and then will give their capstone presentation at the Mac Bernd Professional Development Center on Tuesday, May 21.

Our Scholars have big plans next year - from left - Daniel (MHS) attending UT Austin, Christopher (SHHS), attending TCU, Kyree (BHS) attending Moorehouse Atlanta, Isa (LHS) attending TCU, Gianna (AHS) attending TCU, and Tivana (SHS) accepted at Texas A&M and Tarleton.

The CTC Smokin' Ferrets were in action at State BBQ in Round Rock with Coaches Chef Almendarez, Chef Arzola, and Chef Chavoya on Saturday! For BBQ, it was a great experience, they ate at the legendary Franklin’s BBQ in Austin and met The Queen of Texas BBQ, Tootsie Tomanetz. This team is graduating three seniors this year - top row from left - Marc, Brysen, and Damion. All three are two-year members of the team and will be missed! The CTC Prostart team was in action on Saturday at AT&T Stadium for the Taste of the Cowboys event. Coached by Chef Almendarez with an on-site assist by Chef Sanchez and Ms. Barron! The team had to create an elevated and healthy version of a three-course meal with a tailgate theme. The team came away with 1st place and $10,000. The team will be featured at AT&T as guest chefs at a Cowboy game in the fall! We have two seniors on the team this year graduating - JP and Daren.
