Arlington ISD is celebrating a major academic achievement as 11 elementary schools and four junior high schools (in addition to four Arlington ISD high schools) have been named to the 2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Elementary and Middle Schools Lists, placing them among the top 40% of public schools in Texas.

The annual rankings evaluate schools based primarily on student performance on state-required assessments, proficiency in core subjects, and how effectively schools serve all students. Schools that rank in the top tier of their state earn eligibility for a U.S. News Best School designation and digital badge.

LITTLE ELEMENTARY HAS EARNED THIS DISTINCTION! What a huge honor JB Little Rascals!

Today we celebrated two extraordinary members of our Little Elementary family!

Congratulations to 2nd grade teacher Johanna Baker for being named Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Baker opens her classroom not only to her own students, but to all students—creating a space filled with love, learning, and encouragement. Her heart for children shines brightly every single day.

We also proudly honored our amazing clerk, Mrs. Sloan Allen, as Paraprofessional of the Year! Mrs. Allen is the smiling face that welcomes everyone through our doors and the cheerful voice that answers every call. She truly greets the world with a smile and makes our school feel like home.

We are so grateful for these two incredible women and the difference they make at Little Elementary! 💛💚
