1st grade students learned about the great migration of Monarch butterflies traveling to Mexico every year in honor of Hispanic History Month. They read ‘Señorita Mariposa’ and watched interviews with scientists about butterfly sanctuaries in Mexico. In art they made papel picado drawings, using symmetry they painted butterflies and put it all together to create beautiful mariposas! ...
