⭐ Butler Earns an A Rating Again! ⭐

Bronco Families,

Following Dr. Smith's message about the state accountability ratings, I want to share what this means for our campus.

Butler earned an A rating again this year! Holding a strong rating takes the same effort as earning one, and I don't want that to go unnoticed. Our teachers sustained what's working here, and your Broncos did the work behind it. Butler continues to be a leader in Arlington ISD and across the DFW area because of our amazing teachers, dedicated students, and strong family partnerships.I am incredibly proud of the work we have accomplished together as a community to continue earning this distinction and look forward to our work this year to continue to reach Big Heights!

What We've Been Focused On:
-Supporting individual student growth
-Creating intentional opportunities for students to use productive struggle to increase higher-order thinking-
Creating intentional opportunities for students to talk about what they are learning and share their learning with peers and teachers
-Closing achievement gaps for all students
We are especially proud of our work in Domain 3: Closing the Gaps, which accounts for 30% of a campus accountability score.
Domain 3 Results
2024: 85
2025: 88
2026: 92

Where We're Going This Year
-Continuing our focus on the Small Steps we can take each day to support student success
-Aligning and implementing new SEL, Math, and RLA curricula to support the development of the whole child

Families can learn more about accountability ratings at txschools.gov.
Thank you for your continued trust and support. We couldn't do it without you!

🚗 Start Time Success & Dismissal Safety Reminder
Bronco Families, I am very proud of our attendance and punctuality during the first week of school. As we adjusted to our new 8:10 a.m. start time, we had very few tardies, and that is a testament to the commitment of our students and families.
Our goal is for all Broncos to arrive by 8:05 a.m., giving students time to get settled and ready to learn before instruction begins at 8:10 a.m.
We are also off to a great start with dismissal procedures, and we appreciate your patience as we continue working to make our systems safer and more efficient for everyone.
🦺 Dismissal Safety Reminders
Arlington Police Department recently visited campus to address a safety concern along Margaret Drive. APD asked us to remind families of the following:
-Never double park on Margaret Street during dismissal.
-If there is not an available curbside spot, please take the extra time to safely make another lap.
-If you park on a side street, make sure your vehicle is parked facing the correct direction of traffic with the passenger side next to the curb.

Thank you for helping us model patience, courtesy, and safe driving practices for our Broncos.

Bronco Families,

We are thrilled to officially announce that Jennifer Myers has been named the new Assistant Principal of Butler Elementary!

Mrs. Myers is already a familiar and beloved member of our Bronco family, having served as our GT Lead Teacher for the past two years. During that time, she built strong relationships with students, staff, and families while demonstrating an unwavering commitment to academic EXCELLENCE and student success.

From Mrs. Myers:
It is with great excitement and sincere gratitude that I introduce myself as your new Assistant Principal at Butler Elementary!

My husband, Ryan, and I are proud to call Arlington home, where we raised our four children. Education has always been at the heart of our family. Ryan has served Arlington ISD for nearly 30 years and is a Dropout Prevention Specialist, and together we have dedicated our lives to serving students, families, and our community. We truly believe in the power of education to transform lives.

Over the past 28 years, I have been fortunate to serve in a variety of teaching and leadership roles in Fort Worth ISD, Mansfield ISD, and now Arlington ISD. For the past two years, I have had the privilege of serving Butler Elementary as the GT Lead Teacher. During that time, I have poured my heart into supporting our students, collaborating with our incredible staff, and building meaningful relationships with our families. Those experiences have only deepened my love for this amazing school and reinforced my belief that Butler is a truly special place.

It is an honor to continue serving our Butler community in this new role. I am committed to ensuring that every student feels safe, valued, challenged, and empowered to reach their full potential. I believe that strong partnerships between home and school are the foundation of student success, and I look forward to working alongside you to support every child academically, socially, and emotionally.

As we begin this new school year together, I am excited to continue building lasting relationships with our students, families, staff, and community. Thank you for your trust, your partnership, and for welcoming me into this role. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue serving Butler Elementary, and I can't wait to see all that our Broncos will accomplish together.

It's always a GREAT day to be a Bronco!

With gratitude,
Jennifer D. Myers, M.Ed.
Assistant Principal

Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Myers as she begins this exciting new chapter. We know she will continue making a positive impact on our students, staff, and families.

Welcome to your new role, Mrs. Myers!
