Football Schedule Change!

Our game has been moved up one day and will now be played this Thursday (10/23) to avoid the bad weather forecasted for Friday.

We’re still hosting Future Viking Night at UTA on Thursday. We’d love to see a big turnout of Future Vikings in the stands!

Have a great Wednesday!

We’d like to invite all of our Future Viking Football Players to join us for Future Viking Night on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 23RD as the Lamar Vikings take on Arlington High School at UTA’s Maverick Stadium (Kickoff at 7:00 PM).

We want every future Viking in attendance—players from our Lamar Cluster feeder schools are invited to be special guests for the game. Students can wear their team jersey or a Lamar shirt and will have the opportunity to run out of the Viking Tunnel with the Varsity Team at 6:54 PM!

Event Details:

Date: THURSDAY, OCTOBER 23RD

Time: 7:00 PM kickoff (meet by 6:40 PM)

Location: Maverick Stadium, UTA

Who: All Lamar Cluster youth and junior high football players

Entry: Free for AISD students with Student ID

Logistics:

Each group must be accompanied by at least one chaperone.

Players and chaperones should meet Coach Ramos, Coach Mitima, or Coach Harrison at the field entry gate by 6:40 PM.

After running through the tunnel, players will rejoin their chaperones and head to the stands to cheer on the Vikings.

This is a great opportunity for our young athletes to experience what it means to be a Viking for Life!

Thank you for your partnership and continued support of Lamar Athletics.

Bronco Families,

WOW! WOW! WOW! Your support and generosity have helped us exceed our goal of $75,000!!

Thank you so much for your help! Our Broncos had SO much fun yesterday celebrating their leadership development and fundraising. Special shout-out to our parents and staff who helped clean up after our “Car Wash” parties at the end of the obstacle course.

We will be keeping our donations site open through the weekend. The website may show that it is closed, but it will be open through midnight on Sunday, October 12th.

This also means that any NEW donations can still earn prizes! The APEX Team has let us know they will be back next week to deliver prizes to anyone who did not receive them today and for any new prizes earned over the weekend.

Apex Obstacle Course event 𝗶𝘀 𝗧𝗢𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗥𝗢𝗪!

Our Broncos have had an awesome two weeks developing their leadership skills and raising money for our school and PTA. Now it’s time to celebrate everyone’s hard work!

PREPARING STUDENTS FOR TOMORROW:
1. Wear comfortable shoes.
2. Get a good night’s sleep.
3. Eat a healthy breakfast (and lunch for afternoon runners).
4. Stay hydrated – start today and bring in your own refillable water bottle.
5. Encourage your student to do their best.

We are currently at 90% and hope to meet our goal before we start running tomorrow!

See you there!

Reminder, 4 Day Weekend!

I’m excited to share that we are at 75% of our goal of $75,000!

That means we are just $31 per student away from meeting our goal 🙌🏽

As you may have heard, if we reach our goal, I’ve promised our Broncos that I will camp out on the roof for 24hours ⛺😬

Here are the reminders and links you need to know as we finish out the last week of our 1 and ONLY fundraiser for the year:

Through APEX, your generosity directly supports:
-Teacher resources – learning materials and classroom supplies.

-Student enrichment – field trips and programs that expand horizons.

-Campus improvements – creating an inspiring environment for our teachers and students.

Click here to pledge: myapexevent.com/butler-elementary-obstacle-course-29202

Our fundraiser culminates with the Apex Fun Run on Thursday, October 9th (see attached schedule).

If you are able to volunteer on that day, please follow the Signup Genius and know that it is greatly appreciated!
