Bronco Families,

We hope you've had a wonderful summer and are enjoying these final weeks before the start of another exciting school year. We can't wait to welcome our Broncos back to campus! Please take a few moments to review the important updates below.

🚨 New Start Time for 2026-2027

Butler families, please note that our school day will begin at 8:10 a.m. this year.

To help your Bronco have a successful start each day, we encourage students to arrive by 8:05 a.m. so they have time to get settled and be ready to learn before instruction begins.

School Day Bell Schedule
Doors Open: 7:45 a.m.
Tardy Bell: 8:10 a.m.
Instruction Begins: 8:10 a.m.
Dismissal: 3:35 p.m.

Students arriving after 8:10 a.m. will be considered tardy.

🎒 Meet the Teacher Update

We have a slight change to our Meet the Teacher schedule this year.

Meet the Teacher will be held Monday, August 10, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

This adjustment applies only to Butler and allows our staff additional time to transition from district events before welcoming families to campus.

Teacher Welcome Calls

Teachers will be calling families the week prior to Meet the Teacher to introduce themselves and welcome your Bronco.

If you have not received a phone call by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, this is likely an indication that your student's registration has not been completed.

If you still need to register your student, please visit:

Families who have not completed registration will need to finalize the process before class assignments can be communicated.

🎒 School Supplies

If you ordered school supplies through PTA/Sprouts, your child's supplies will be delivered directly to their classroom and will be waiting at their desk during Meet the Teacher.

If you still need to purchase supplies, you can access grade-level supply lists here:

🏫 Construction Update

Many of you have noticed some exciting changes taking place around Butler!

We are receiving several upgrades inside and outside the building. Our goal is to have everything cleaned up and ready for Meet the Teacher. Some exterior work may continue into the beginning of the school year, with crews primarily working nights and weekends.

New Improvements Include:
New hallway lighting
New stage curtain
Updated campus signage
A new illuminated flagpole
A new digital marquee 🎉

We are excited about these improvements and look forward to sharing them with our Butler families.

🤝 PTA Volunteer Opportunities

Bronco Families,

We are thrilled to officially announce that Jennifer Myers has been named the new Assistant Principal of Butler Elementary!

Mrs. Myers is already a familiar and beloved member of our Bronco family, having served as our GT Lead Teacher for the past two years. During that time, she built strong relationships with students, staff, and families while demonstrating an unwavering commitment to academic EXCELLENCE and student success.

From Mrs. Myers:
It is with great excitement and sincere gratitude that I introduce myself as your new Assistant Principal at Butler Elementary!

My husband, Ryan, and I are proud to call Arlington home, where we raised our four children. Education has always been at the heart of our family. Ryan has served Arlington ISD for nearly 30 years and is a Dropout Prevention Specialist, and together we have dedicated our lives to serving students, families, and our community. We truly believe in the power of education to transform lives.

Over the past 28 years, I have been fortunate to serve in a variety of teaching and leadership roles in Fort Worth ISD, Mansfield ISD, and now Arlington ISD. For the past two years, I have had the privilege of serving Butler Elementary as the GT Lead Teacher. During that time, I have poured my heart into supporting our students, collaborating with our incredible staff, and building meaningful relationships with our families. Those experiences have only deepened my love for this amazing school and reinforced my belief that Butler is a truly special place.

It is an honor to continue serving our Butler community in this new role. I am committed to ensuring that every student feels safe, valued, challenged, and empowered to reach their full potential. I believe that strong partnerships between home and school are the foundation of student success, and I look forward to working alongside you to support every child academically, socially, and emotionally.

As we begin this new school year together, I am excited to continue building lasting relationships with our students, families, staff, and community. Thank you for your trust, your partnership, and for welcoming me into this role. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue serving Butler Elementary, and I can't wait to see all that our Broncos will accomplish together.

It's always a GREAT day to be a Bronco!

With gratitude,
Jennifer D. Myers, M.Ed.
Assistant Principal

Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Myers as she begins this exciting new chapter. We know she will continue making a positive impact on our students, staff, and families.

Welcome to your new role, Mrs. Myers!
