We are getting ready for a spooktacular Friday full of fun events! To make sure everyone has a hauntingly good time, we wanted to clear up a few costume details with some Halloween-themed dos and don'ts!

🎨 Face Paint:
Allowed: A little fun touch of face paint or costume makeup!
Reality Check: Let’s be real, there's no way full-face makeup is staying on a 7-year-old’s face past morning recess. Keep it light so it doesn't turn into a scary masterpiece halfway through the day!

🎈 Inflatable Costumes:
Oh, how times have changed! Parents, the days are officially over of using old microwave and refrigerator boxes to build Halloween costumes. All you need now is a tiny battery-operated fan and a tightly sewn suit, and suddenly you’ve got a chicken riding a cow strolling down the hallway! 🐔🐮
We've gotten a lot of questions about these awesome blow-up outfits, so here is the game plan for Friday:
YES: Students CAN wear their inflatable costumes as they enter school on Friday morning!
YES: They CAN put them back on to groove at the Monster Mash!
NO: They CANNOT wear them all day long. During the regular school day, students will be asked to take off their inflatable costumes (and turn off those fans!), unless granted special permission by their teacher, so make sure they've got appropriate attire on under their costumes

🚫 Important Costume Safety Rules:
To keep things safe and fun for all of our elementary students, please remember:
No Masks: Full-face masks or costume masks are not permitted.
No Pretend Weapons: No swords, guns, axes, or play weapons of any kind are allowed on campus.
No Scary Costumes: Keep costumes fun, friendly, and elementary-appropriate; nothing too gory or terrifying for our younger Broncos!

Shackelford Junior High is hosting its 2nd Annual Shack Spooktacular Trunk or Treat tonight from 6-7 PM! Head over for a safe, fun-filled evening of trick-or-treating with our local community.
Butler Dads’ Club Family Costume Contest: Show off your family spirit! Join us tomorrow morning for the annual Dads’ Club Family Costume Contest at 7:45.

We can't wait to see all the creative, silly, and spooky costumes on Friday!

Bronco Families,

A few quick updates and reminders as we head into an exciting week at Butler! Please see below for details on upcoming events, celebrations, and important information.

Attendance & Arrival Update ⏰
A huge thank you to our families for doing an incredible job getting our Broncos to school each day and keeping them healthy! Almost every single day, we are exceeding our schoolwide attendance goal of 97%. While our overall attendance is fantastic, we are currently struggling with tardies and students arriving after 8:05 AM. As a reminder, while our official tardy bell is at 8:10 AM, our expectation is that ALL Broncos are inside their classrooms by 8:05 AM. Arriving by 8:05 ensures our students can take their first Small Steps of responsibility and start their day calm, settled, and ready for success!

Bonus Long Weekend & Daylight Saving Time! ⏰🍂
-Don't forget! Our Broncos get a 4-day + 1-hour weekend coming up!
-Extra Hour: Standard Time begins this weekend, so remember to "fall back" one hour on Sunday!
-No School: Students have a 4-day weekend with no school next Monday, November 2, and Tuesday, November 3. Enjoy the extra rest and family time!

Storybook Pumpkins Drop-Off & Pick-Up 🎃📖
-Our creative Broncos can drop off their Storybook Pumpkins in the library starting tomorrow morning, Monday, October 26. Please check your email or AISD App for the flyer and complete details.
-Pick-Up: Pumpkins must be taken home on Friday, October 30.
-Note: Any remaining pumpkins left after Friday will be thrown away, so please make sure your child takes theirs home before the weekend!
