Bronco Families,
Following Dr. Smith’s message last week, I wanted to take a moment to talk about what the state’s accountability ratings mean for our school.
This year, Butler Elementary received an “A” under the state accountability system. We are extremely proud of this achievement and believe it reflects our campus and community's values and commitment to Excellence for ALL!
We could not have reached this level of success without an incredible group of dedicated teachers, families that partner and trust us with their children, and a group of highly motivated students.
Our journey continues this year as we look to continue to build upon our success. Specifically, we are focused on increasing student academic conversations, student goal setting, and providing each student with the tools and skills they need to make a year’s growth.
As mentioned in the letter last week, Arlington ISD participated in the STAAR rescore process, and the preliminary data shows many of our students improved. These students’ writing questions were graded by an automated scoring system, our request for rescore would require the tests to be scored by humans. While TEA did not process those in time, we’ve appealed to make sure that growth is counted.
We’re seeing momentum, and we’re building on it. Thank you for your partnership and belief in Butler!
Sincerely,

Bronco Families,
Your Broncos are having a wonderful day!
Couple of quick updates:
1. We left out the Master Schedule from the Bronco Bulletin. It has been added and is also attached to this message.
2. Dismissal - Our priority is EVERYONE’S Safety!
Procedures are the same as they have been, but we do ask new families to review them. These are posted in the latest edition of the Bulletin.
Please be patient at dismissal during the first week; we are ALL getting into a routine.
Also, a reminder, there is NO parking in the staff parking lot unless you have been given a permit by staff.
