Today we celebrated the end of one totally tubular, sweaty heat wave☀️🥵
So, naturally, we did it the only way we knew how… by throwing on our best ’80s gear and dancing our way through the day! 🕺💃🎶
At 1:30 PM, right before that cool front rolled in, we hit PAUSE on the school day and surprised our students with a totally rad ’80s dance party! 🎉📻
We don’t want to take all the credit, but we DID notice something pretty groovy… 🤔 The temperature never climbed another degree after 1:30! 🌡️⬇️
Coincidence? We think NOT! 😂
Maybe we should’ve had ’80s Day sooner! 😎

Referrals for AISD’s Gifted and Talented Services are being accepted and may be received from any teacher, parent, or member of the community at-large. GT referral forms initiate the process and can be obtained from your student’s teacher or the GT Lead Teacher at the elementary campus. As part of GT identification practices, AISD routinely uses universal screeners in kindergarten, second and fourth grades.
