English I teacher

I grew up in Arlington as a student within the District and received a BA in English at Abilene Christian University. My teaching career began 24 years ago in AISD and includes experience in 7thELA, 8th ELA, English I, English IV, AP Literature, and AVID. I am committed to establishing a safe, rigorous, engaging, student driven classroom environment that maximizes each student’s potential for success in English I and beyond based on respectful, meaningful relationships and high expectations. The reason that I chose to be a teacher is because I truly love working alongside students and am invested in them as unique and talented individuals who are capable of achieving any goal set before them to make a positive difference in the world. I have two amazing children with whom I’m very proud and a wonderful husband who also coaches and teaches in the District. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you need anything.
