My name is Victoria Self, and I joined the Colt family in 2023. I was born and raised in South Louisiana, and consequently, my favorite food to eat is crawfish. Teaching has long been my passion, and I taught ballroom and Latin dance throughout high school and college. Something that most people don’t know about me is that when I was 15, I won two National Championships in ballroom dance! I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English from McNeese State University in 2022. In 2023, I moved to Arlington, Texas and began my career at AHS. I love my students, and believe that building literacy skills is key to every student’s lifelong success. In my free time, I can usually be found going on hikes or curled up with a good book. I have a large personal library, some of which is in my classroom, and I love to share reading suggestions and talk about literature. Come by to check out a book or just to chat!
