Barnett Families,

We hope everyone had a restful Spring Break and is ready to finish the year strong. It’s hard to believe we have just 9 weeks left in the school year, and every day counts.

As we move forward, our focus is on preparing students for high school readiness, STAAR, and final exams. You’ll hear more about boot camps in core classes designed to support students during this important time.

There is also so much happening across campus:
✨UIL competitions in academics and fine arts
✨District City Track & Field Meet this week
✨Soccer season starting next week
✨Wrestling beginning in April
✨Barnett hosting the UIL Academic Meet in April

We are proud of the way our Bears are showing up and representing Barnett PRIDE each day. Thank you for your continued support in helping them stay focused and finish strong.

Barnett Families,

We need your help! Arlington ISD is asking families to complete the AISD Parent Survey, and we’ve added a fun incentive for our students.

If 30% of Barnett families complete the survey, our students will earn pajama days on all STAAR testing days—even if they are not testing that day!

We are also in a friendly competition with the other junior high schools in the district, and we would love to win. Every response helps us get closer to our goal.

The survey only takes a few minutes, and your feedback helps the district improve programs and support for our students and staff.

Please take the survey here:

Thank you for supporting our Barnett Bears! 🐻

Dear Barnett Families,

We are one week away from Spring Break! To celebrate a successful semester, we are hosting a "Rest & Recharge" Spirit Week starting Monday:

Mon: Snooze Button Monday (Bedhead/Crazy hair)

Tue: Destination: Relaxation (Vacation/Hawaiian shirts)

Wed: Mid-Week Mindfulness (Athletic/Comfortable gear)

Thu: Throwback to Simpler Times (Elementary/Character shirts)

Fri: The Ultimate Recharge (Pajama Day! Must be school-appropriate)

Important Policy Reminder: Please remind students that bringing snacks, candy, or drinks to sell on campus is a violation of the Arlington ISD Student Code of Conduct. Only school-approved fundraisers are permitted. We appreciate your help in keeping our campus focused on learning.

Show Your Bear Pride: Help us beat the other junior highs in the AISD Parent Survey! We want the district to know that the Barnett community is the most engaged. Please take 5 minutes to share your feedback here: bit.ly/47g3BCu

Thank you for your continued support!

Barnett Families,

We had so much fun this week celebrating our students during advisory with our Pickles, Popcorn, and Punch incentive! Students with six or fewer tardies and no suspensions enjoyed free time and used their Bear Bucks for snacks. We are proud of the positive choices our Bears are making!

Please continue encouraging your child to arrive to class on time and make good decisions each day so we can celebrate even more students next time.

We also hope to see you at Open House on Tuesday, March 3rd. This is a great opportunity to meet teachers, visit classrooms, and learn more about your child’s progress.

You can read more details and reminders in this week’s newsletter:
