My first career was in tech support and business services consulting, mainly forecasting contacts and resource requirements. I always told myself I would become a teacher "after the mortgage was paid." The mortgage still is not paid but when a project closed down at Accenture, I had the opportunity to switch careers.
My first full-time teaching position was as the Career and Technology teacher at Hutcheson Junior High, the current site of the CTC. I loved it. Teaching and helping others learn to work through and solve problems is an absolute joy!
