Hi Families! Here is my brief Monday Messenger for the week! Enjoy!
Quote of the Week: "Since I know there is so little I can control, I've always through of my kids as the passengers and myself as the flight attendant. When the planes hit turbulence, the passengers look at the flight attendant's face to know if it is time to panic. So when my family hits turbulence, I tell myself: Just stay calm and keep serving the tiny pretzels"

Hi Families! Here is another great staffing update for next year! Our Able classrooms are each adding 1 additional TA to support the program! Meet our 3rd TA for Mrs. Johnson's Able classroom, Ashley Williams!
Hi there! I'm Ashley Williams and I am so excited to join Hill as the ABLE TA! I just moved to Arlington, Texas a month ago with my dog Duke. I am originally from Lodi, California but have lived all over. I worked as a Behavioral Technician for 3 years and a Preschool teacher before moving to Texas. I graduated from Arizona State University with my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education and am currently enrolled in the Teachers of Texas prep program. My heart has always been in Special Education and my brother is my biggest motivation - watching him overcome, accomplish and go above and beyond the expectations others placed on him fuels my passion to help every child succeed and be their very best! In my spare time I enjoy landscape photography, embroidery and traveling to different countries. I have been volunteering at Hill and absolutely love the ABLE team and kiddos. Since the moment I walked through the doors I have felt so welcomed by everyone here at Hill and feel so at home already. I am so excited to officially be a part of the Hill family!
We are so excited to see this team continue to THRIVE next year! ... See MoreSee Less
Hi Families! We have another staffing update! Our new teacher for our Highly Structured Alt Curric classroom, Christian Adame! Christian is coming to us from Lubbock ISD and we are SO excited for her to join our Hill community! See below what makes her so special!
Hello all! My name is Christian Adame and I am currently a special education teacher in Lubbock where I have been for the past 3.5 years. Before that I was teaching in New Mexico but I am originally from San Diego. I received my bachelors and masters from New Mexico State University. I will be moving to Arlington with my husband Luis and our two kids Luisito (4) and Dulce (3) in order to be closer to family. I also have five adult children and 4 granddaughters! Oh, I can't forget my furry kids Jack and Luna (bark bark).
I have always had a heart for special education and I absolutely love teaching. I will be leaving a little piece of my heart with each of my students that I will leave behind as I move to join the team at Hill Elementary! I have been a resource/inclusion teacher, a behavior disorder classroom teacher, a self contained special education classroom teacher and currently math and science special education teacher in middle school. I am SO excited to begin a new journey as an alternative curriculum teacher. I have learned so much from my students over the years and all of my experiences have made me a better teacher every year and I am looking forward to learning from the students at Hill. I have heard and read so many good things about Hill so I am honored and enthusiastic about becoming a part of your school community.
